Next job to tackle was the slipping clutch, was using the frictions from the previous owner when I rebuilt the motor and he did two up and tow a trailer.
Couldn't get 10 new frictions in had to go with 9 standard.

    old ribbed

    old very worn solid

    new friction

Also put the oil cooler in for summer and mounted it slightly higher and replaced the hoses.

      upper

bent up a bracket out of some strapping for the hoses,

When running 10 frictions you need thinner ones to reduce the height so I went with 9 new frictions for now.

        Cheers Andrew.

Moving forward with improving the EFI,
Increase the breathing with the standard air box by using the 1250 airbox filter.

make a plastic welder tip out of some tube

          filler rods

          some welding

also cut down a SGP air filter to fit

          Cheer Andrew.

            New and old

            before

            after

And now to make more room under the seat to put the EFI pump there

            Cheers Andrew.

Just an FYI for LSU 4.9 o2 sensors,

              I am using a 5 wire LSU 4.9 o2 sensor on my Innovate MTX-L. Innovate #3888/ Bosch #0258017025
I just picked up one from the wreckers, turns out the series 1 2007-2009 VE commondore (CG Captiva 06-11) uses x2 of them pre cat with the same connector as well.
              o2 sensor now working.
For testing purposes there are 6 pins in the o2 sensor.
              labelled inside,
-pin 1 red (joins with pin 5 internally for calibration a resistance value of 30-300 ohms)
-pin 2 yellow (o2 sensor output)
-pin 3 white (joins with pin 4 for heater 3 ohms)
-pin 4 grey ( joins with pin 3 for heater 3 ohms)
-pin 5 empty ( joins with pin 1 for calibration a resistance of 30-300 ohms)
              -pin 6 black (ground)
pins are numbered top left 1,3,5.
              bottom left 2,4,6.

My last one was a new cheap chinese knockoff for $40 did last 3 years, the second hand wrecker item was $25.
lets see how long it lasts.

One of my failed o2 sensors when tested has an open circuit between pin 3 and pin 4 so no heater.

A couple of rides later and the wrecker o2 sensor is running fine... so far.

              Cheers Andrew.

How did you wire your O2 sensor into your GS wiring harness? How much power does the O2 sensor draw?

I am running a stand alone Innovate MTX-L unit, it only requires power and ground.
Not sure or current draw but when the heater is on which is only on start up for about 15-30 seconds it is about 0.5v.
Then zero to neglible power draw after that, it is whatever is required to power the display unit as the o2 sensor then generates 0.1-0.5v output for o2 readings.

                          Its alive

Excuse the music I had the radio on.
I have more videos but it takes ages to load and I'm off to work so will upload later.
Literally first run, still fine tuning and finishing off.
                          Cheers Andrew.

                              Thanks 80GS1000,
For a stock ECU setup it goes really hard.
I cannot wait to get the ECU custom tuned for my motor.
