check out the link for the full restoration. I appreciate all who helped with questions through this process. This was a fun project and my first vintage bike build.

    Great job!
What front end and wheels did you use?

      Nice

Watched it twice, the rotating footpeg distracted me the first time around

                  Nice work.
Just noticed the polished rims. I like the contrast with the black spokes.

Love the sound of that Kerker !

My 2 favorite GS1000 exhausts are the Kerker and the first model Marshall Deeptone.

I had an early Marshall Deeptone 6-1 on a CBX and loved it.
Almost stock quiet until about 5000 rpm and then a full bodied bark.

Still lusting for a CBX, but they are collector items now,
                        as are the parts ..
getting really expensive to buy and restore where i live.

But yes, i remember the Marshall 6-1 for that bike. Beast.
Same thing for me as the GS1000 : low-rev it's the best deep grunt,
                        and that bark ... cool.

Way better sound than the Jama or Laser Deeptone.
