Great work throughout. It's funny what please and seeing that you reinstalled the air box is one of them. Your paint work is impressive, especially with the tank problems you had. I can only dream of being able to do that. Thanks for your write up.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well.........Got the clear sprayed today, sort of.....
Had to spray it in the shop at work, and a co-worker came in and turned on a floor fan, right after I finished the tank. And as luck would have it, it blew the paper that the tank was sitting on up and onto the tank.
Now I have to wait a day for it to dry, wet sand the tank, and apply another coat of clear on it!
The good news, everything but the tank looks OK!Ron

Finished spraying clear this morning after repairing the clear coat disaster from yesterday. Decided to put another coat on the fender and rear cowl while I was at it!
Made sure nobody would be working today!
Tomorrow the polishing will begin!Ron

Although pretty "familiar" feeling both the chassis of the 1100 & the 16v engine are pretty different from the earlier bikes. The seating on all the later bikes is a lot more stretched out than the earlier chassis. Personally I prefer the older chassis, the ergonomics fit my short *ss better!
