Starter motor compatibility GS 1000 to GS 1135

I'm rebuilding an 1135 engine but I'm missing the starter motor.
As I have a starter motor from a GS 1000 T, I was wondering if it would fit with the corresponding Idle Starter Gear?

1000 starter got stuffed into a lot of diff model pre 1980 ish
The 1100esd which is what I assume you have shared its starter with many of the early to mid 80s bikes

The number of teeth on the 1150 starter is higher than on the 1000 that's clear.
The question is whether the 1000 starter will fit the 1135 engine when used with it's companion idle gear?

In Europe the GS 1150 is the same bike as the GS 1135
