Way ay man
I went to Uni with a Geordie & learnt all the ins and outs of Whor lass & ganna yahm 
and of course the "Toon Army".....
A couple of years later I worked for a company with a factory in Seaham that I used to visit pretty regularly and learnt all about the Makem's.

There are a few accents in the UK change much faster than here in the US.

Yes there is quite a few dialects in the north of England. If you think geordie accent is odd you should hear the dialect from Ashington Northumberland, rolling Rs a plenty. Anyway let's get back to bikes
