One of the few motorcycle youtubers worth watching.
After watching some of his vids, some of what he said about his past rang a bell.
Before he got a name in bike frames, he drove a cab in Vancouver. I drove a cab in Vancouver.
He lived in the 5500 block of Fraser. I lived in the 5700 block of Argyle (couple of blocks away)
He raced bicycles. I raced bicycles. He raced out of a shop on Victoria St, I raced out of Dave's shop on 3 road
He raced at Westwood. I raced at Westwood.
Never met the guy... but I think I dispatched to him at Yellow Taxi in the '80s. Turns out we had some mutual friends.

He raced at Westwood. I raced at Westwood.
I used to go watch races there in the 80's. Some racers I remember seeing- Robbie Much, Daryl Fletcher, Rueben Mcmurter, Goodfellow, Crevier, Mercier, etc
I saw a street legal TZ750 with Alberta plates, thought that was bonkers.
GS\'s since 1982: 55OMZ, 550ES, 750ET, (2) 1100ET\'s, 1100S, 1150ES. Current ride is an 83 Katana. Wifes bike is an 84 GS 1150ES

Thanks Ed, had no idea who he actually was. Brother in law brought a Brodie Mtn some 30 years ago and one of our Mtb trails is called Brodie. Used to hang out a lot at Westwood in the '70s but moved way in '79. I don't remember him from there. A guy I street rode with where a live now raced Pro there in the mid eighties and have some photos. Carter, I'll go through my archives in the next few days and maybe post up a couple.'84 GS750EF (Oct 2015 BOM) '79 GS1000N (June 2007 BOM)

So I have been lucky enough to not only meet Paul Brodie, but I have also ridden with him....a very good friend of mine is close with him and one day we rode here in the island together to do the "Renfrew loop" and had lunch together in Renfrew at the pub.
Great guy! He has invited me to the mainland to see his shop and one of these days I will get over there to see it.
This is a bike the Paul built for my buddy....Mike Hailwood rep if you will....early 70's 750 that my buddy vintage raced in BC and in Portland some years ago...

Trevor, did you do the Lake Cowichan loop on that ride or Renfrew & back? Last time I was in Renfrew the road to the lake wasn't paved.
Cool bike as well.
