This guy had to have had a press pass surely to get so close.

When I used to flag marshall at the paper clip, there were several times I had to tell the press guys to get up behind the concrete wall because they were so keen to get "that shot". There were many occassions they were closer to the action than I was, and I was able to wave a flag in the racers' faces!

Having said that, those photos are definitely rather awesome...

                  I'll be there, Pete.
I intend to eventually be one of the old wardogs I see down there now.

I usually make a bit of a run out of it and head down the twisty way.
There's a little town on the highway called Tooradin where I stop for a bite and a smoke. It's worth standing on the side of the road and watching all the old bangers rumble by.

Stuff that you never see any more rolling by is fantastic..
                  Old Matchy's, Velo's, AJS, Rudge, Kwaka triples, RD's & RZ's..
                  Everything..

That sounds like a day's entertainment in itself! Would love to join you for a bite... gave the smokes up last year so pass on that one though

                      Cool, I like that…

Looks like just the first session, mostly small CCs?
I wish for a day or days like that over here in Michigan, USA.

I was just pulling names out, Bill.
I've sat there and watched a Jota side by side with a slabbie GSXR.
                        Both looked brand new.

A lot of old Japanese stuff comes out for this as well as European.
The sound alone is enough to make oyu need some quiet happy time alone.

You said you busted your Clavicle…

It took you a while to get over your busted clav.
Glad you're riding a sportbike again.
                          Me too.

                            Good memory there, Bill.
I'm still getting over the fracture.
                            16 months!!
If they had plated it, I woud have been back on a bike a year ago.

The only bike I have is the 750 in the shed and an old FZR 600 I used for a trackie before the accident.

I've borrowed a couple of bikes on the odd occasion for a weekend just to keep me sane.. Well, slightly sane.
