    Barnett Clutch?

    Hey,

So I figured if I needed any help with the GS this would be my spot. I have the avalbility of getting a Barnett Clutch but its from a 1985 GS750 now I thought the GS was discontinued in 84 because the GSXR came out.

If its actually possible. Would the clutch from a 85 fit into an 83?

    Yes it will fit.
Make sure it's not the "extra plate" kit or it will destroy the clutch hub.

Barnett Clutch fiber plates are steel I do believe, if so they will eat up your clutch basket.
Don't know what model you have but Boulevard Suzuki is having a Cyber Monday tomorrow, steep discounts on parts.

I did and it chewed grooves in my basket. Sounds kinky .

barnett neither makes a good race or street clutch.
            springs are great..plates are trash.
            any more questions?

I used the Barnett extra clutch plate kit for over ten years on my GS1085 and then switched to another new Barnett clutch plate kit about three years ago. My Clutch Sleeve (Inner) had all sorts of grooves marks in it too.

The Clutch Hub was not chewed up and was in good enough condition for Falicon to upgrade it to a welded clutch hub

What is the prefered street clutch?
