Our first drag race all bike event together. We never got to race together before he was diagnosed with epilepsy
Close to 80 to 100 bikes in street et. more of them on Sunday.
We started time trials on Friday and I was riding the 98 Bandit and I was going to let Jr ride my 84 Yellow Euro GS. I made 2 passes on the Bandit and it hurt me to bad to ride that beast. My first pass on it I matched my best sixty footer of a 1.60 and went a 9.84. Second pass I was still hurting and only managed a 1.74 sixty and went a 10.04 so we swapped bikes. Boy did that put a smile on his face when I told him I was riding the GS. Jr. did great for his first event. It has been 4 long years since Jr has been able to ride and his first pass on the Bandit he beat his best sixty footer by .001. with a 1.50 sixty and he quickly brought them down a little into the high 1.40's He lost first round on Saturday but made it to 1/4 finals on Sunday. I got paired up with him in the money round and lost. He actually won some money also. I guess I did ok also for the first time at the track with this GS I brought that old GS to the last 4 bikes on Saturday and the last 10 on Sunday. It was a good weekend to be in Bradenton Fl. well it was a little hot and muggy

So it was a little muggy? What a shame... You get no sympathy from us. I will plan on next year for some kind of event where its warm. My wife would move to Florida tomorrow if we had the means...I have to go scrape the ice off my car so I can see to go home...Enjoy your weather
