Notice please read Lakeland Florida drag strip

Starting October 11th. Lakeland drag strip is going to have 3 classes for bikes. Pro ET., Street ET., and V twin ET. They are doing this on a trial bases to see what type of turn out they can get. With a guarantee payout of $500 to the winner. If they get a good enough turn out then they are talking of holding a bike only race once a month with more classes. I have never raced at Lakeland track so it will be new to me also so if any of you guys live close enough please come out and support the sport.

Well we will be heading to Lakeland on Saturday to race there for the first time. I have not even touched ol' yellow since I raced her in Georiga. I hope my leg will hold up I got a deep muscle tear in my calf. Man did that hurt. I am supposed to be in a soft cast for another month. We should have some good weather. I need to win one of these races it is starting to bug me. I feel like I am loosing my touch. It just to hard to race every weekend like I used to. If any of you guys come out there stop by and visit and I will give you one of my team mates beers. Can't miss the ol' yellow GS

Well I did a little better. I made it to the semi finals. So close but so far away. I lost with a .004 red light which hurt when I went a 6.91 on a 6.90 dial in. I hate red lighting. I felt like I staged a little deeper than normal. Oh well I get them next time. At least I won my entry fee and gas money back so I raced for free. So it was a good day of racing. Boy what a hill billy track Lakeland is. The bumpiest track I have ever raced at and the return road was worse. No win light at the finish line either. But I had a blast.
