    Sidecar Racing Sept 5-6 NJMP

For those wishing to watch sidecar racing, we'll be back at NJMP Sept 5-6. I can't keep up with the modern bikes more than 2 laps but I sure have fun!

had a blast! We normally do rolling starts at NJMP because the promoter (CCS) likes to see them and we want to keep CCS happy. However Sunday we did a clutch (standing) start. It was the first time I've done a standing start against the modern sidecars. They have water cooled 1000 and 600cc motors. I was in the last row, rev'd the motor to 8K and dumped the clutch. Then proceeded to blow past all but the three fastest guys to turn 1. There just wasn't enough track to catch them before turn one.

Unfortunately on lap two I blew through turn 1 and did a bit of farming.

Look forward to it. To make it extra interesting stick in second place until you overtake on the last bend......

              Good luck.
