What aluminum alloy is a GS1100E case

I don't know where to post this one. Racers trash a lot of things, so I thought this might be a good place to post the question. Has anyone ever found out what alloy the GS 1100E cases, cylinder block, and head are. Some alloys are more weldable than others. Nothing broken, just looking at some mods.

I don't know the alloy used in their castings but they DO weld without issue as long as you get them CLEAN!!!

      Thanks for the input.

I test welded a scrap case with a MIG spool gun, and my Synchrowave TIG, and it looks pretty good. I was wanting to fine tune the Aluminum rods/wire I used if I could. I agree with the clean part, aluminum has to be spotless to weld.
