    different rod lengths

    Hi all, does anyone know the different rod lengths between a gs850 and a gs1000 ?

    Download your free Genuine Workshop manual/s from basscliff website http://members.dslextreme.com/users/bikecliff/ and cross reference you parts numbers in Mr Cycles http://www.mrcycles.com/oemparts/c/s...torcycle/parts or similar sites. FYI. part #s are different

          I suspect that of more importance is that I think they use a different diameter crankpin...
          What's your budget like ? Custom rods from Carillo may be called for.

            Not sure if "crankpin" is the term you are looking for, but it might be.

            "Gudgeon pin" (what we know here as "wrist pin") is definitely larger on the 1000.
