    AHRMA Sidecars @ Gingerman 6/3-5

We expect to have 4 Period 2 vintage rigs and my Period 3 rig at Gingerman 6/3-5.

Update: we have 2 period three bikes coming. A grid of 6 hacks is pretty decent. We'd have more except VRRA (Canadians) has a race the same weekend.

          Some of what I saw

“Here they come spinning out of the turn!”

great pics! The guy on the #1 bike is a tough, tough competitor. The guy on the #20 bike is a former AMA pro racer. Both of them would pass me on the first lap usually at the first turn. It doesn't do any good to be first into the turn if you over brake.

I came in second P3 both days. Third overall on Sat. I slid off track Sunday, got passed by everyone, clawed my way back to 4th overall.

Great racing and really tight track. Lots of fun.

So, do all the Hack set ups run that odd {to me} front suspension?

RD400 allegedly stock but seeing it in action, I'm not believing that!

a leading link is pretty standard. Very few run telescopic forks.

Given there's a 2 stroke tuner here in NZ getting 100hp or so out of 350LC's taken out to 400cc - and the info is now widely available....It should at least be competitive, LOL
.You certainly have a variety of machinery there. There's a directive here that we're not supposed to run front exit and rear exit outfits together. Given the low numbers you've got it's inevitable they do get together. It would certainly help track time here if we could...
Well done Ken, keep it up.

thanks! with so few rigs, we even put moderns out with the P2 bikes.

Nice pic carrying the hack wheel.

I owned a '79 RD400 Daytona special...she was fairly quick with me on it, but I can't see a "stock" motor hauling the hack frame , rider and monkey all that fast....unless the port timing has been tweeked and the trans was regeared to keep it on pipe.

                          edit..."fairly quick for a 400cc bike"

It is indeed...I'm tempted to post up the pic of Warwick leaping the curbs and gutters at Wanganui on the LCR.....
But his spare motor is due here any day now and i don't want to embarrass him....

it took Patrick a few laps to remember to stay neutral on the chicanes. It got real bumpy for a bit.

                              Post the pic!
