    STT-Gingerman Raceway June 12

Signed up for Friday June 12. Only $135!!!
It's a big weekend at Gingerman: Friday, Friday Bike Night, Saturday and Sunday.
$10 gate fee if anybody wants to cruse through the pits and spectate, you can even have access to the timing tower. It's 10 miles east of South Haven MI.
One day is all my bod can endure.
Amazing, I get my bike up to 130 in 3rd on the Phoenix Flat, about 1500ft.
Not a particularly scary track, except it seems to get narrow as you go faster.
Turn 10a has been sealed off for a decade.

I doubt I could ever get there in mid June, but I'd like to. What spread of bikes do you see at that event? Do they run classes based on displacement?

It's mostly newish bikes, all sizes. Even beginner bikes.
I wish they would be more based on power, but they don't. Even with vintage racing, 3-4 classes are in the same race.
It's up to each individual to choose their group, loosely based on how fast you are and want to go.
It's not rigid, if you're falling behind your group, you can drop down a level before the next session. However the slower groups get over sized.

        Looks like fun!
Appears the track is totally flat?
Some interesting double apex corners or so it appears.
Gonna break in the new Michelin rear?

It's my closest track so I've been on it many times. It has some elevation changes and 2 plunging corner entries, #1 and #10b into a bowl.
It's a better example of a designed track. Corners #4, 8 & 9 get real narrow because you've got the throttle wide open.
Even on perfect weather days there's many offs and occasional wrecked bikes.
I tested my bike on some country roads, to scuff the rear tire and check the forks seals. All felt good and as expected the bike was way too fast.
With the baffles out of the mufflers, it has a loud bass roar.
Here's a short video I took of AHRMA vintage twins on turns 1 and 2, beginning of race so riders are not up to speed yet.

Signed up for July 24 Bike Night!

Cool, Gingerman is just an hour away from me, signed up for a half day event: Friday Bike Night.
Half price: $100 buys 4 on track sessions. 5:PM 'til darkness.
Love it, small attendance makes for a roomy track, free riding too.
