    R.I.P Wes Cooley

Rumours are rife that he has passed away. If it is true, another awesome motorcycling legend has left this earth.

    Rest in peace Wes.
    1978 GS1085.

Just remember, an opinion without 3.14 is just an onion!

I just came here to post the same thing. A friend sent me that link.
      R.I.P. Wes Cooley.
      Diabetes complications.

I was very fortunate to have met Wes several years ago at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days.
Wes was SUPER nice guy, full of joy & life...very kind. He seemed to be in great health just a few years back.

Wes Cooley is an icon of vintage superbike racing, and a major contributor to the infancy and progression of superbikes and superbike racing...

Never met him face to face but talked with him on the phone several times. And i would catch him now and then signed into facebook messenger

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Sorry to hear about Wes Cooley's passing.
A couple years younger than me as well.
I'm sure he had a happy life, so no tragedy to morn, nothing to regret.
My sympathy to his family, they feel the loss way more that any of us.

That's really sad. It's his riding and his style that after seeing him racing back in the early 80's that made me..a dyed in the wool Honda lover..covet the blue and white '79 GS1000S. It took me 30 years to find one, and I'll ride it in his memory whenever I can.

Sorry to hear this as I am sure Trevor will be quite touched. Seems Trevor had some personal stuff with Wes even having him in his garage to autograph the tail section of Trevor's GS1000s I believe it was.

                R.I.P. sir.
