Shift lever pad.

I don't know how much of a tip this is but both of my parts bikes (Slowly becoming one GS750EF) have worn out shift lever pads...worn right through on one side.

What I did was turn it upside down....or pretty side up.... and use two small black zip ties, one at each end, with the ends at the bottom front of the pad...closest to your toes.

Took about a minute and looks great. When I replace it with a new one sooner or later I might do the same thing. I think having two or three zip ties might protect the rubber from getting too worn down. These ties fit right into the grooves in the rubber.
