if its a chain drive and doesnt have disk brakes on ther back then possibly you can find lowering blocks. The best and safest lowering is done by replacing the shocks. Im not sure about the chain drive statement.Originally posted by biker

A GS650G is a shaft drive, Scotty, with rear disc brake. If it's an "L" model, it's already a pretty low bike as it sits. I agree that a different set of shocks would be the best way to lower it; also, cutting foam off the seat, with its obvious comfort consequence.
