    Magical material for hacking

OK, i'm not a fan of fixing things with JB weld or patching leaks with silicone, though I suppose those have their place.

But this stuff looks amazing! I'm thinking it's perfect to replace the long lost rubber boots on my side cover mounting "hooks" and get rid of that rattle. It'd also be great for fabricating mounts for handlebar doodads and such.

Anyway, it's called Sugru. Take a look at this site, and if it's the product for you, you'll immediately come up with a couple of ways to use it.

The benefits of original formula + family friendly formula = the best Sugru ever!

Interesting stuff, Sugru, but those rubber bits for the side cover hooks are still available OEM. I think your bike uses the same as my 1000, for which I just installed a set this spring.

Ha. Well, like I said, if it's the product for you, the ideas will come. Thanks for the link to that chemical test!
