    A quick follow-up report... I've been riding with this and it has been working PERFECTLY! Took a bit of time, as I described above, and some careful fitting, to make it fit properly, but it works absolutely as desired. Very happy with it. Easy to set, very easy to un-set, and just what the Dr. ordered to relax a hand for a few minutes while on the open road.

        I had one of those... The plastic will stress and dry out in the sun/outdoors, it will likely lose it's tension on the grip, and then eventually will split at the top edge.

        Mine worked OK while it was in one-piece...

          The Kuryakyn 6218 Universal is a great one. Had one on my GS650L, loved it.
