    increase the seat height on a gsx 750 (81)

    hi ,

    just bought a gsx 750 (81)to practice on and use to pass my test, but im a tall person ... 6ft 3"

    was wondering if there was any way to increase the seat height to make the bike easier for me to ride ?......

    Have you already adjusted the read preload on the shocks?

      Havent been able to get My hands on a manual yet? So haven't tried to adjust any thing yet but noticed the seat sinks quite a bit .how do u go about adjusting the shocks ?

        You short people and your "problems" really amuse me.

        I am 6' 5" and ride an 850. I find that bending my knees works best.

        Don't raise the bike up to you, lower yourself to the bike.

              Ya just like that, Besides turning the shocks all the way up the only other 2 ways is replace the shock with a longer one or add padding to the seat. I'm 6'4" and I don't have a problem with the stock height of these bikes.It is not a bicycle and your legs don't have to be fully extended for optimum performance.

                Get some additional foam added to the seat & have a harder foam installed such as Sargent super cell...

                That's what I did here in order to stop my hips from cramping (poor old boy..! )

                  I think this is beat idea to increase the seat height. I have also added some foam to the seat on my bike it is very easy to install. This is really great tricks to increase the seat height.
