How do you remove the 2 little screws from the emblem on the gas tank if the heads are stripped. I want to take them of to paint the tank and someone else has tried before me and stripped them. any idea's would be a big help. Thanks.

drill them out, then remove the remains once the emblem is off1978 GS1085.

Some have also had success getting a very small torques with to grab the gnarled up edges. I wouldnt smack it too much for fear of denting the tank though. Yes I know the mount itself is thick, b ut still I wouldnt.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)
