    Rear Stand Question

What rear stand works for lifting a motorcycle (GS or other) off the floor with a round swing arm?

I would like to use it on my pending 1981 GPz550 project

or maybe I have a T-rex... Most stands will work as long as you get the flat plate attachment.

I would make sure you get one that is very sturdy, the tubular swingarms seem to put more pressure on the arms (because the bike isn't as "planted") & I had one stand (cheap ass Harbor Freight affair) collapse on me...

Another question . . . do you put the flat plate under the axle shaft/nut or under the swingarm?

I saw how much the Pitbull cost and that is how I know I have the T-rex.
I think I picked up 2.5 stands for the price of the rear Pitbull- but the Pitbulls are much more nicely finished..

Pitbulls are great fit under the swingarm and the new ones come with a removable handle
