JIS Impact Screwdriver --- Thanks for the post!

Thanks to originally posted this but I can't find the thread to save my life. A bargain and a well made tool! Saw this link on this forum and bought one. Ordered it and took only two days to get it. Gave it to a friend who is a metric wrencher and he loves it

I looked at your link and thought "that's a nice looking screwdriver, but I don't see the 'impact' part of it".

Then I read the description. Apparently the twisting mechanism is hidden inside the 'normal'-looking handle. Nice.

i'm think it may have been ME !!!
I love mine, and can't believe I didn't mess up more screws than I did in all the years of messing with bikes!
I still use a regular #3 phillips with a slightly ground off tip for a lot of screws, but this Vessel is being used with more regularity.

I use the JIS for normal stuff but the bits in the impact driver seem to fit the screws just fine. The tip was years back because that's when I ordered 2 short ones and 2 long ones

That's an awesome deal as well, very nice tool.

Both the #2 & #3 with 150mm shafts are on my wish list.

hmmmm, I wonder about how much torque there could be in a long skinny shank like these versus me twisting a driver with my hand while tapping with a mallet...oh well.

FYI... Amazon has these for sale too. I just orders the #2 P2x100 980 impacta (fit JIS) for $11.46 with free shipping.

Thanks to whoever found these originally & shared them with us. I hope they live up to their reputation thus far.

                Cheers

Chris, if you want the ultimate set look at the set VMASS listed above, very nice set with 150mm long shafts on the Impact, P2 & P3 drivers, they feel so much nicer to use than the shorter 100mm models.

The price of $73.00 US is great deal for what you get.

PS did you get the "L" running yet?

Finally had the chance to use the Impacta on a set of carbs. A great improvement over the standard impact. Consider it a must have!

When I bought a few JIS Vessel screwdrivers from RR Tools about 2 years ago, there was no mention of the Impacta yet.

With our devalued currency and international shipping charges, getting one now is wishful thinking for me!
