Late model 6'' rear wheel conversion

I'm running a McIntosh swing arm with a 6 inch Hayabusa rear wheel. I have a 5/8 offset 530 front sprocket. My issue now is the chain is hitting the the inside of the peg, where the 2 bolts hold it on to the rearset. What is the best solution to fix this? It seems if I grind the bolts, there won't be anything left to secure the peg. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Extend the peg mounts out so you have more meat for the threads outboard of the tire.

If it's very minimal then use a thinner chain... There is a competition grade O ring 520 chain that is strong but thin. I remember a guy who Monoshocked a GS1000 on here using it. (PJ)

I think finding a 5/8 offset GS spline 520 sprocket might be tough...

You can machine a 530 down to a 520 width as they are the same pitch.

I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things.
