I had a lapse in concentration and rather than buying OEM, I bought a pattern brake seal kit for front GS550 caliper.
The original dust seal was missing and the one I have been supplied seems too big in outside diameter for the caliper though it fits the piston fine. I know they are sometimes hard to get in but this is ridiculous, there is no way it will go in after trying for 2 hours. I cant even get it in without a piston in it so Im convinced its wrong.
Ive got no old seal or an original for reference, has anyone else experienced this with a pattern kit?
