    11EZ rear shock replacement

What shocks do people use to replace the stock 1982 11E units?

I'm talking straight bolt in replacements - no welding, no spacers, no modifications at all.
1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red

2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

No, but...just wondering. It does need shocks...completely off the record.

I'm pretty sure mine are 412 Progressive. Springs are 1368 105/150. 13" bolt to bolt.

I have Ikons on mine. Put them on 15+ years ago, so I don't have any info, but it was a direct swap.

Thanks. Ikon shows two options: $295 and $475. Very reasonable.

A979CB8D-3ED9-43C6-87EC-32BBF1D3004F.jpgAnother satisfied Ikon customer here, just replaced the 41 year old rears on my 81 GS850G, which look to be the same mode for an 1100, but the page I compared them on doesn’t list the 1100EZ specifically.

13” eye to eye - “Ikon Dial-a-Ride 7610-1418 Code 204 black springs tri-rated 18/25/33 nm” and wow, what a difference.

I love that they are rebuildable and the dial-a-ride settings actually do work, unlike my ancient originals!
