    Rotor restoration question

Hello there I am restoring my 82 wheels to 83 wheels. I found some rotors I am going to clean and paint. Does anyone know if the front and rear rotors and basically the same? Thanks much Brian

The 3 rotors have different part #'s... LH vs RH fronts is probably the direction the slotted holes are angled. Guessing the rear is different size, shape, or possibly off set.

The only possible problems I can think of with using a front on the rear is heat/fade (less metal to soak it up) and also possibly a very worn set of pads could have room to fall out beside the rotor followed possibly by the piston hitting the rotor on the next pump....

Having trouble finding service limits for these rotors. But if the rear is originally thicker, wondering if when rear reaches its service limit, if it will be still within the service limit for the front?

Where did Grand Rogue go, didn't he say he was using a front on his rear... Where'd he go, he had 2 posts in this thread a while ago.

I think they're all 274mm aren't they? Smaller than the single brake models, those are about 295mm.

Hey...sheesh......edited my first post in this thread...and poof....all disappeared. Aaargh.

Anyway....offsets are same. Front rotor on rear AOK. 4.5MM and 6MM are minimums. Brakes operate beautifully. EBC pads F and R.

I shall not edit this ;-))
