    GS1100G fork damper valve

Hi, I've an old and sorely neglected 85 GS1100G that I am trying to resurrect. Have a question about the fork damper valves. I took the sliders off (a mission in itself as the internal hex was stripped) and a piece of a damper valve came out with the sludge. This is the valve that the lower part of the damper rod passes through. These appear to be a non-replacement part as the lower end of the fork tube is peened (rolled) over. I ground off the peening and the pic shows the items that came out. Anyone ever had to do anything with these? Ideas about replacement parts? Correct order of assembly? is the only alternative a replacement fork tube?
