1978 / 79 GS1000E Front Axle Spacer Orientation RH side

GS1000E/S owner request: Can you verify the photo of the front axle spacer orientation is correct? The spacer larger shoulder OD is inboard. I ask because the GS1000 FSM shows the larger shoulder OD reversed and facing the axle nut. Must have been a drawing issue.

    TIA
    Steve

What im not seeing is the bearing retainer or a right side disc I see the disc bolts though. And i believe the lip on the spacer goes inside the fork so when the nut is tightened the fork doesn't get sucked inward. Take some pics from an angle so we can see if the retainers there or not. Heres the 79S fiche because its clearer than the 78 fiche im viewing.

EDIT.. I went out back and looked at a 78C frame with the front wheel on the frame and the spacer with the lip in your picture is the same way. I will take pics from a bike at the shop tomorrow

Photo in the 1st post is the RH side sitting on the bike. Referencing the GS1000S fische, #7 RH bearing retainer is inboard and visible.

Question I have is #8 RH Spacer axle shows the shoulder OD facing out and next to the axle nut washer. The FSM GS1000E page 12-6 shows the spacer larger shoulder OD next to the axle nut too.

I think the photo in the 1st post is assembled correctly. Attached is a LH side photo which matches the GS1000S fische assembly.
      Let me know
