I got excited when it was nearly 60*F yesterday and today, so I got busy and swapped the brake lines on. They fit OK, the front top line wasn't ideally indexed but I angled the top end out towards the lever and it doesn't look too goofy. It bled out easily with the help of a harbor freight vac pump. The test ride went well, the rear brake is noticeably better.
A kid chasing a frisbee went behind a parked car and I worried that he might continue into my path so the new front pads and rotors got a little more break-in than I planned, but all ended well. The right front turn signal doesn't work now and the bulb is good so I must have jostled a wire in the headlight bucket.
The cooler air is keeping the air-fuel ratios in the 14 and low 15 range so I'm glad that I didn't jet it leaner.Comment

Sorry Rob but the 69 firebird body isn't anything to see yet, at least the top side, it has Art Morrison front and rear frame clips with the frame connectors made by me. The front has C6 corvette front a arms and brakes and the rear is a tri-angulated 4 bar on a 9" housing with a Daytona pinion and an N case with a blueprinted traction lock. Rear brakes are Lincoln discs. Strange coil overs all around. No manual trans unless you count a manual turbo 400 with a gear vendors OD.
My body man was sick of fixing rusty junk so I ordered a new body from real deal steel, I'm hoping for a June delivery.Last edited by Don R; Yesterday, 11:44 PM.Comment
