Brake disc interchangeable between models

I'm changing the brake discs on my GS '79 G
Looking online I could find brake discs for the G model and the GN model. A quick look into the manual and it says

most service procedures and data remain the same unless specifically listed as changed

and I didn't find anything about the brake discs changing, but I just want to tripple check before I burn some money

So the question is: Will the GN model rear brake discs fit my G model?
I was looking at these front and rear discs.

The 79 GS850G is the GN model.
The 80 GS850G is the GT model.
So, you're good to go.
For what it's worth, I commonly swap wheels between my 79 and 80 bikes. Only downside is the solid discs on the earlier bike, but as I'm not much of a rain rider these days, it's not really a worry.

How come the front brake discs i linked are named '79 "G"?

Well first Mr. Forgetful, seems you're new to the site, so first WELCOME aboard. Also seems you may be new to Suzuki GS bikes. I recommend go to our home page, then Model info., it's amazing how much you can learn there pretty quick.. To your question all GS850's are "G"'s, but none are just GS850G, all have other letters that go with the "G" that farther describes it. Model info is a quick read with a lot of info you may need to know. The GS850's are known for being really great bikes. Luck to ya and keep us informed about your bike... The larger single brake model discs don't interchange with the dual brake ones and the oldest of the dual brake models (1978/1979) discs don't work with the newer calipers but other than that have at it...
