odd sprocket combination?

Looks like I need to change my front sprocket

When I started counting teeth front has 15 but instead of 50 on the rear, as the manual states, there were only 40.

I checked Z1enterprises site and the lowest number of teeth they sell is 43.

Did the PO go too low on the rear sprocket teeth?

And does it really matter?

Yes, your bike will have a LOT better acceleration with the stock ratios.
Huge difference.
Some guys like to chug along at a very low RPM even though it is very hard on the engine.

Ok I was wondering.. I seem to remember seeing that it did when I was working on one a while back, but I havent cracked that manual for some time. (though I will be busting it out soon to figure out whatever is wrong with Rose's bikes carbs..)
