I need some help IDing the wheels & frontend on my 83 GS1100SD Katana and cant seem to get any. Please check out the pics under Popular Tech Info under GSRX wheel selections. They are 17 X 3 on front & 17 x 4.5 on back. There are no spacers for the chain & everything lines up. id like to know what the frontend & rear brake caliper is too if anyone can help me. Thats a genuine Kevin Schwantz superbike front end as far as i can tell. The yoshimura sticker and magnesium colour paint gives it away. Seriously maybe a baby bandit or early 600/750 GSXR front?Comment

I am basically computer illiterate and my son helped putting the pics on the other thread so I was hoping not to have to move them again. As for the stickers they came with the bike and will be removed. Cut me some slack here guys, Im an old senile at 66
Thanks for moving the pictures !

I am lazy... especially when using forum on my phone. Jumping threads is too much work especially when there is no link supplied
I would guess at GSXR 750 from around 90's vintage.
My other guess was SV650 from the size but they have the straight spokes

Think Katana has the straight spokes as well doesn't it?
I definitely vote GSXR in the period they went from 18" to 17" but before the 5.5" rear wheel came out. Quite a rare wheelset.

I used to have that front on mine, '89-'97 gsx600f or same years gsx750f. The 750's had a rubber cushion mounted handlebar where the 600's were solid mounted. They only had a 17x3.5 wide rear wheel, if your wheel is 17x4.5, it's probably from an '89 gsxr 750 or 1100.Comment
