little help with progressive suspension for gs700e

I have an air leak from the top of the fork under the cap on the handlebar. I plan on tearing the forks down and replacing the seals. I didn't see any point in using the stock springs so i was going to order:

My plan is to make spacers and replace the oil. So do i need to run any air pressure with the progressive springs or am i good without?

You can run without, the progressive with a 1" spacer and no air is a nice set up. I made the mistake of adding air and blew out a brand new seal.

If you need assistance I did this on mine awhile back in theis thread.
