    450 swing arm differences?

Anybody know if the various GS 450 models share the same swingarms? I have an 81S and an 85L model and would like to use the L swingarm to build up a disc rear and install it on the S. What about the frames in general, are they the same model to model? I've considered keeping the S stock and building up the L into a modified cafe version of an S model.

Hmmm I'm pretty sure they're all the same on the 80 - 82 models, but after that I'm not sure, they changed a lot for the 83 model.

I would imagine as long as the width between the swingarm pivots and the diameter of the shaft is the same then they should be good to go.

As far as frames go, the E/S, L, and T all have slightly different frame numbers due to a small difference in the seat pan length and different mounts for the tank. The L and T seat pans seem to interchange ok though going by a thread I saw on here. I think it was Hornswaggle who did the swap.

Actually I just did the part number lookup on Alpha Sports for the swingarm shaft followed by the reverse search on Bike Bandit, and the shaft is the same up to 82 and then that's it, seems to change from 83 onwards, so there would have to be some sort of difference at that point.
