If you're that superstitious you better go out and buy new tires and suspension .

            Fork air pressure

How much air are people keeping in the forks of their '82 GS1100e's? Mine came back from seal replacement bottoming out. They fixed that by pumping them up to "upper twenties."

My Haynes says 7.11 psi standard, up to a max of 35 psi. If it's bottoming out with standard air, does that mean it needs new springs? A friend says they should have recommended new springs when they did the seals. (It wouldn't pass inspection without new seals.)
1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red

2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

                NO air?

NO air, not even the 7.11 psi minimum?

I'm at least the third owner (just got it), and if I had to guess, I'd guess that it has the original (1982, 24,000 miles) springs.

Can anybody recommend fork springs (1982 GS 1100e)? Suzuki replacement vs. aftermarket?
