Which Mityvac to use for bleeding brakes?

    Hi,

I sure would like to make this chore easier. Do you guys use Mityvac products? Would this one be OK?

    Thank you for your indulgence,

That's the one I use, it comes in a gray plastic kit box with all the parts.

              Hi,

Thanks Bob, Tim. I know this is the low-end model (8020). The 8500 is metal, has the gauge plus a lot more attachments, for only about $20-$25 more. Seems like it would be more robust.

Come to think of it, so does mine, otherwise, it's the same unit. My gage has a broken glass though, from when my son was using it on his Nissan or Samurai.

Not to worry Cliff, I have a similar plastic one I got at the local auto parts store. Seems to work fine.

Today 06:23 PM Baatfam Mine has a gauge on it....

Thanks tas. I checked Harbor Freight. They have the 8000 model, with the gauge, for $40. Everyone seems to give it glowing reviews.

Mine is one of the plastic ones too and I've been using it for about 5 seasons now. At first I thought it looked a bit flimsy and I would have preferred a metal bodied one but (touch wood) it performs flawlessly and I haven't broken it yet.

I think you'll be very happy with it so my vote is you go for it my friend.

                      cheers,
                      Spyug

I think mine is the 7000 model, also plastic...less than $40...maybe close to $30...
Looks different than the 8000 series...
