Hey, I was wondering if anybody has upgraded to disc brakes on an 81 gs450. I'd like to go to a disc in rear and I heard you can swap a gs750 wheel w/ disc brakes on it. It looks like the hubs are different sizes though so can you swap over your 450 sprocket? Anybody got any ideas or know what works best? I'd like to keep the star/snowflake wheel look but want better stopping. Thanks

I'm not sure what other GS' rears will fit, but have a look through here to see what Hillsy's slowly doing with his '88 450:

poss gsx 550 or 4 cyl gsx400 have snowflake alloys & disc, you may have to mod swinging arm. they may also have the swirl type 3 spoke alloys, check they're 18" though.Comment
