    Or possibly 16-V 750?
    Some measurement involved.

8-V 550s were built in decent numbers. I'd think you could find one fairly easily.
Spares situation may be different in the UK, though.
    Good Luck.

BTW - what's an "autojumble"? Seen that term in a few Brit mags, just curious.

    .
    Oops. Sorry,missed your post.

    Yep, same as swap meet.

The trouble with spares over here is that we use salt on our roads so everything rots.

And a Island in the North Sea does not help either ..One thing Yanks don't see either ..Is in the UK its OK to ride a old Jap bike ..So people just dont give a old bike away for a $100 bucks .. In the USA if its not a H-D your a freak for riding a old Jap bike ...

(Best friends from Leeds UK .. I ship a mass of unrusted and unloved parts to the UK each year and have for 15 years ..To keep the UK boys riding ...)

        Excellent result!!

Managed to find a absolutely perfect (looks like NOS) swinger in Germany. It arrived yesterday.
        ?30 inc. postage.

Bearings and pins are perfect, sadly they need to come out for powder coating.

I take it they'll get wrecked when I remove them?

It I were you I would look at a late model GS500 twin swingarm. Aluminum & later model wheels & brakes too! Ray.
