has anyone took off there shocks off their bike a welded in sold round bar to make bike more like a rigid

It's a great way to destroy your swingarm pivot bearings and make the bike completely unsafe to ride while only costing you the handling a real bike has.

I just don't understand why anyone would like to do that. Is it 'cool'?

I rode an AMEN Saviour frame for 17 years. Gimme the shock absorbers!

        Answer to your question: Yes.

Some are into that kind of thing, most of us just don't understand why.

Too many of these old bikes have marshmallows for suspension and we are looking for something that actually works, not something that makes it a torture rack.

At least it would be easy to change back later...

Yeah all you would have to do is unbolt the struts, remove the rear wheel, remove the swingarm, press out the bearings, insert new bearings, and put the rest all back together.

Some folks just like having their ass pounded, hard and long.

Life is too short to ride an L.

Struts are only useful on a dragbike. On the street, I'd prefer to keep the crabmeat in place between my spinal discs.

This sounds like a topic for a Harley forum.
