    GS450 brake fluid reservior disintegrating

Hello again, I recently drained/flushed the brake fluid from my gs450 and when I removed the reservior cap I noticed the screws were severely rusted. When I went to put everything back together afterwards one of the screwholes seemed to no longer take thread where it should. it was determined not to be the screw, and I sterted looking how to take apart the reservior.
The model I have is linked to below, but I can't figure out how to gracefully remove that reservior, and as I try to edge a fine screwdriver under it the plastic is actually disintegrating like candlewax. I figure I'll be pricing a replacement tomorrow or so, but does anyone have experience rebuilding this type to let me know how to remove it?

Replacement on ebay found, but I would still appreciate feedback on this process.

Just pop that reservoir up. It is held in place with an o-ring, so it's just a friction-fit.

Get the reservoir kit, if that's the one for your bike. I got one for mine, it works well and looks good.

I had the exact same problem with mine, except I had an additional issue where the piston had pretty much seized in the master cylinder and it's unfortunately scored the bore too badly to be any use, so I replaced mine.

If your cylinder is good, that reservoir is the one you need.

I'd suggest go to your local dealer or Boulevard Suzuki and get a new piston and cup set too, relatively cheap way of knowing your brake is good. Don't compromise on your braking...
