    Anybody used or seen these?

Looking for a 5/8ths master cylinder to go with my Kawasaki brake upgrade, and I stumbled on these on eBay. I can't seem to get an answer from the seller regarding the piston diameter - he just says that as long as the bars are 7/8ths I should be ok.

So, just wondering af anyone on here has seen or used these and can tell me anything about them?

My guess is small diameter. May lead to soft lever feel.

They appear to be a copy of the very pricey sport bike aftermarket ones.... Those are likely 5/8" or bigger as all sportbikes that I know of are pushing at least 4 pistons per side....

I'd be concerned about longevity and spare parts but the price is right I guess... I'd like an adjustable clutch lever but not one that looks like it should be on optimus prime..

I can recommend the Kawasaki Ninja MC. Both the older one (no mirror mount) or the one from the later bikes with mirror mount work well and look more "period"

Salty, those have a micro brake switch don't they? Is that easy to adapt to the Suzuki? Would you mind briefly explaining how you did it?

Yes they do... I just cut the end off the suzuki wires, put 2 small spades on the end of correct size with heatshrink all the way up (covering right to the end of the spade connector).

I then put a bigger piece of heatshrink over both spade connectors, shrink it tight at the back over the cable but go easy on the front where the spades are so that they can move a bit (as the switch has the blades spaced apart 2mm or so).

Worked for me on 2 different bikes now.

          Your other options are:

          1. Junk the microswitch & get a hydraulic switch banjo bolt (Z1 Enterprises do them)
          2. Get the wiring from the Kawasaki & just splice it into the Suzuki loom (2 bullet connectors on the bottom end, usually in the bundle under the tank if memory serves me right)

I've been looking for a Concours master cylinder, and there are plenty on the Bay, but then my levers won't match (reach adjustable on the concours, not so much on the original Suzi cable lever). Not a huge deal, but I'd notice.

I've got a really nice M/C off an '08 GSX 650F (Katana replacement) but it is stamped 14mm. This would work nice if I retained the stock calipers, but as stated before, I've got the Kawi twinpot caliper mod as outlined elsewhere on GSR. I thought it would be okay since all the pics I see of the 650F show it as having two piston Tokico calipers. Silly me for making an assumption.

I won't make an assumption about these I originally posted about.....
            Thanks!

14mm works but needs more lever travel and changes the feel. To me a 14mm feels spongey

                Agreed. I just bought a 5/8ths M/C off an 05 Bandit.

If those pieces were any sort of decent quality the price would be over (maybe well over) $300. For $69.95 I'd stay far, far away.

Anyone ever heard of/seen/used Magura M/C's and levers?

About halfway down the page : http://www.partsnmore.com/parts/suzuki/gs1100e/?filters[category]=chassis&filters[fitting]=universal

Looks fairly neat'n'tidy to my eyes. There's other "universal" ones below them too - all in black.

                      Any thoughts?

Have not used Magura MC on a motorcycle, but they are considered on the high end product for hydraulic brakes on a mountain bike (bicycle). It's not a bad price, but you could pick up a radial cylinder for a GSXR or similar off of ebay cheaper. Thinking about going that route myself.
