    79 GS1000 slotted rotor

Does anyone know of a slotted front rotor that has the correct offset to fit a 79 mag wheel? The bike is actually a 78, but is now sporting 79 mags. I found one to fit the rear, but I'd really like one in the front as well. I see tons of them on fleabay, but no one bothers to mention the offset or bolt circle. Just the year of the bike it came from.
The front rotor lines up perfectly with the new wheel. I just don't like that uninterrupted mass of real estate. It just looks wrong.
    Direct replacements?
Oh, as you already know, the 78 GS1000 has a single left front caliper.

Suzuki released the slotted rotor in 1980, and the 1978 GS1000 came in both single disc and dual disc configurations.

      Yes. Just get a pair from an '80-up (to '84?) 850, 1000, 1100, etc.
      Perhaps the 750's also.

This is a '79 with them on it...

Be careful.... your single rotor is a larger diameter (296mm) than the newer 80+ dual rotor slotted models (264mm).

I believe there is one T model or something that has a slotted larger dia (296mm) rotor but that is the only one... Tkent knows which bike it is I believe as he used a pair of them (running one backwards) for a brake upgrade.

The bolt patterns are all the same, as are the offsets on the Suzuki disc rotors

I can't tell from your post if you just want a slotted rotor to replace your solid one, or if you want dual front discs

AS SM notes, the single rotors are larger than the duals, so you have to change the fork tubes of you want to go dual disc

Hoping someone will respond to this old thread. I'm looking to replace my solid rotors on my '79 GS1000 with some slotted ones. It's a single disc front with spoked wheels. Can anyone tell me what will work? I'm finding some good deals for them on eBay but not sure if they are the right diameter.

            Would these fit?

I'm looking for a direct swap. I've seen that you can put on a bracket and all that but I'm not looking to do that.

So do you know if I have any options for slotted rotors if I don't want to change anything else?
