    Rear Brake lever Installation

Hey I was cleaning my rear brakes up and I have been having the hardest time getting the lever back on. I was only able to get it off with a hammer. I have been trying to open up the spline on the brake lever with a screwdriver but it won't stay open. Also I tried hammering it back on but it it is hard to hold the linkage on the back. Any tips would be greatly appreciated thanks.

You'll need to remove the foot peg to install rear brake lever.

Dumb question... Is the bolt completely removed?

Not a dumb question at all. Also, a bit of clean-up sanding and grease goes a long way here.

            Yeah it is.
I cleaned it up and put some grease. It just seems like the brake pedal spline won't open up. Is there any good way to pry it open?

Just drive a chisel into the slot.
It will stay widened until after you instal it on the greased splines.
Then, knock the chisel to the side and out.
