    front caliper piston/seal kit GS1000EN

    Hi Guys
I am trying to find some rebuild kits for the front (and rear) calipers on my GS1000EN 1979. I can fint kits for the rear but nothing for the front, also find plenty for the GS1000ET 1980 but the calipers look totally different. Can anyone point me in the right direction to a supplier, preferably in the UK to keep postage down?

    cheers

Why not replace upgrade them and replace them with a pair of '82 or '83 calipers instead?

This '78 has '83 calipers and rotors:

This '79 has '82 calipers and rotors:

      Suzuki part numbers:

      Part# 59107-34020 Desc PISTON SEAL

      Part# 59108-34020 Desc PISTON BOOTS

Piston shows as NA. I believe there are stainless steel pistons available in your market though, although I don't know where to order them.

Best thing though is to get hold of some calipers off an 80 onwards bike (83 even better) - just make sure that they're not from a GS(X) with a leading axle (an L or early GSX). Then you can get the stainless pistons pretty cheaply = problems solved for ever... (well nearly). The later brakes are a lot, lot better as well.
