Fitting a 160 to an 83 GS750E?

What is required to fit a 160/60/18 tire to the TSCC GS750 bikes? I have already swapped the swingarm but would I need an insanely high offset front sprocket to make it work or would it be relatively easy to fit that sized tire?

Search salty monks gsxr-gs750 conversion thread. He laid it out in pretty good detail. But you really shouldn't run bias ply and radial tires. If you can find an 85 and on GS1150 rear wheel you can run certain 150 bias ply tires on it without much fuss. Just some spacer corrections required out back.

I'm using an FZR swingarm in a Honda frame with this GS750E engine. What I want to know is if a 160 tire will fit behind the engine or if an offset sprocket is needed, and how big of an offset is needed. The 160 will fit in the swingarm, it's the chain alignment that I'm worried about.

A wheel from an '88 gsxr1100 (4.5x18) or if you want 17in. an '89 1100 (also 4.5 wide) will fit in the stock swingarm easily. This is mine with the '89 wheel and 160/60 tire. RF900 front forks with matching front wheel too.

Very slight offset for front sprocket, mine is 6mm out.

This is assuming the engine sits at the same offset in a Honda frame as it does a GS....that's quite a bit of variable to throw into the pot. Honda frame, Yamaha swinger, etc etc....

Mine was offset 8mm using a 520 setup. I got 2 of those 8 by using a "conversion" sprocket with a lump on 1 side. Ran the lump on the inside. The lump is splined as well as the rest of the sprocket. I ran a 170 though
