    Just curious..1000 E caliper

    Just curious as to why there orings on one of the carrier pins and grooves but no orings on the other? Why is that? Is there supposed to be orings on both??

      Not sure why that is but the ones I've had apart have been that way. The shop manual shows it that way as well if I recall.

          Same here. C, E and L model calipers I have worked on have o rings only on one side.

              I guess I should have been more specific...I have 6 1000s and i kn ow they only get them on the one side. My question is this..knowing that they were only gonna use them on one side, why would they machine the grooves into the other one?? That just doesnt seem right to me...thats all.
