Can fork tubes from 82 or so gs1100s ( the type w/o anti-dive) fit in the tripl trees of an 83 with anti-dive. Do the caliper bolt holes line up? as well as the fender mtg holes and distance from fork cup to axle? Let me know because the anti-dive type are hard to find and there is several earlier types on ebay. Ive already placed a wanted ad in here for the lower right leg after I damaged it with a drill (see ad).

Why not just do away with the anti dive? -
the anti dive isnt the problem. I damaged the lower leg with a drill bit so now fork oil oozes out btween the outer part of the seal and the fork metal. I want to know if the older style fits right in place. Id like to get rid of the antidive, 2 less nipples to bleed.Comment

JB weld, works wonders and is cheaper. There is a block off plate for the anti dive, a few on this site I believe have used them.Comment
