Frank, for you, I went out and checked the pressure in my '79 750E (Remember that it has a '79 1000 engine bored to 1100 in it. )
running a 120/90-18 Bridgestone Battleaxe V-rated BT-45 and it is cold after riding 100 miles yesterday.
It currently has 37 pounds in it. I normally run 38.

Pick a convenient number that will be easy to figure the 10% difference, say "40", then make adjustments as necessary.
